From Terminal car park turn right along road. Turn right Footpath R1 Wooton Bridge, by telephone box, and at end of path turn left, straight ahead through woods with raised pipe on right up to road. Cross and turn right, downhill over Wootton Bridge. Turn left onto road immediately after bridge, 200m bear right onto bridleway towards Woodland Burial Ground. At entrance to Burial Ground bear left past Fern Hill Farm on right and through metal gate. Continue along gravel track through woods passing Fernhill ice house on right to reach railway crossing.

Cross railway and follow Bridleway N1 through metal gate then ignoring stile and footpath on right, continuing on track, signpost N13, to junction. Turn left signpost N15 and after farmhouse follow track parallel with telephone line, through two gates to house [Greenhills] and ahead to road. Cross and turn left following road past Isle of Wight Steam Railway Centre continuing under bridge to White Hart PH.

Along road through Havenstreet village and at junction with Firestone Copse Road follow Footpath R5 through kissing gate and uphill to War Memorial.

Go through kissing gate and down field, over stile straight on across two fields, through farmyard and 3 gates to road. Straight on road and at right hand bend follow Footpath R4 [Quarr Abbey], through kissing gate down field through another kissing gate, through woods past lake on right. Through kissing gate and with hedge on left continue to corner of field. Past through 4th kissing gate and cross road with care, through metal 5 bar gate and at end of track, Quarr Abbey Lodge, turn left. The remains of the old abbey can be seen to the right. Follow Footpath R3, over drive, to pass Quarr Abbey on right.

Follow track to Fishbourne Inn, turn left on road back to Car Ferry Terminal.
